As a parish of the Episcopal Church, St. Martha’s is heir to (at least) two thousand years of history, but we are also a community living joyfully in the world right here and right now. We don’t hesitate to incorporate whatever parts of the Christian tradition will give glory to God and turn our hearts to worship, whether that is contemporary praise music, mountain hymns, contemplative chants, or traditional hymnody. We celebrate the ancient sacrament of Holy Eucharist (Communion) every Sunday, but we do so using prayers in contemporary language. We retell the stories of God’s loving relationship with humanity in stories from scripture as well as from our own experience.
Our worship space is not a traditional church building, and we like it that way. Jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts are always welcome. We are just glad to be with together one another in the presence of God, and we would love for you to join us.
You can find our worship schedule [here], or contact the church to find out what we are doing this week.
