Who we are
St. Martha’s is a church with big dreams. We are a community of faithful Christians who come together to worship God, to develop a close and supportive fellowship among our community, and to be strengthened and renewed for service for our neighbors.
We celebrate our relationships with Christ and with each other...
Whenever two or three are gathered together, Jesus promises to be with us. At St. Martha's we believe this is most true in the many gatherings we have, before and after church, and in each other’s homes... to form the kind of Christian relationships which support us in times of distress, and celebrate with us in our joyful times. We believe that small groups are the heart of a church family. So at St. Martha's we are building a small group ministry in which people gather to pray together, study, share a meal, and share their lives... much as the disciples did. This is how we will grow.... just as they did in the early church. St. Martha's is only in its 4th year, so this is a great time to be part of this new movement of the Holy Spirit as St. Martha's is shaped into what God would have us be.
Service to Others is our Core Value
“Just as you do for the least of these you do for me...”
A focus on others and their needs is what brings many people to St. Martha's. We have a keen awareness of the need of the church to live out the Gospel message of compassion and love for others... especially those marginalized in this affluent society. So our focus is outward. We come together in worship for nurture and renewal in God’s word and sacrament and then we go back into the world to serve God’s people. We hope that this wonderful campus of Martha's Place will become a place of laughter and joy... a gathering place for many, as we work to determine exactly what are the needs of the surrounding community and then do what we can to meet them.
