St. Martha’s members have a commitment to serve others in our community. Below are some current opportunities to serve or become involved in the community.

St. Agnes House
Don't forget to bring in your contribution to the in-gathering for St. Agnes House. They are in need of all kinds of paper products, especially paper towels. They also need laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, hand soap and other cleaning supplies. This includes all the kinds of things you stock in your own home. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Gainesway Empowerment Center needs help with Homework Club and Reading Skills Classes in the late afternoon. If this is something that you might interested in doing, please see Leslie LeBlanc for more details as to the hours and exactly what the work is, or email Bonnie.

St. Agnes House is in need of volunteers to help with cleaning, bed making, work in the office, driving people to medical appointments and simply visiting with people. The volunteers generally work in 2 hour shifts: morning, early afternoon and late afternoon. Please see Mary Jane Amick for more details on serving at St. Agnes House, or email Bonnie.

Card/Letter Writing Ministry to Prisoners
The Diocese of Lexington needs volunteers to write cards or letters to people in prison or jail. This would involve writing about 2 cards/letters a month. If you can do this, the Commission on Prison Ministry will provide information and guidelines for your ministry. Contact Billie Stockton at 859-583-3530 or bstockton@roadrunner.com.
