St. Martha’s is a church with big dreams.
Our vision is to build a community of faithful Christians who come together to worship God, to develop a close and supportive fellowship among our community, and to be strengthened and renewed for service for our neighbors.
Attempting to follow the model of the early church, we are a community of faith in which our members make a covenant with each other and with God. The following four commitments are part of that covenant:
- Regular worship with the community (read more...)
- Financial commitment to St. Martha's (read more...)
- A commitment to serve the needs of the community through the work of St. Martha's (read more...)
- On-going spiritual growth through involvement in a Koinonia Community, a small group of Christian fellowship which meets together on a regular basis. (more soon...)
We understand that many people may not willing to make this kind of commitment to the church right away, and we welcome these people to worship with us and to be a part of the St. Martha's community for as long as they want. When and only when someone is ready to fully commit his or her life to God, and to the body of Christ known as St. Martha's, will he or she be asked to join the church through the covenant.
Please join us every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. to be part of an incredible venture in the movement of the Holy Spirit in Lexington. All are welcome. We are not fancy. We especially welcome sinners. And we have fun!
